Best time to visit
For the Andaman coast and the places featured in our Southern Thailand travels, November to April generally offers the driest weather. Other parts of Thailand follow different seasonal patterns.
How long to stay
Ten days to two weeks works well for Southern Thailand. Allow three to four weeks if you want to combine it with Bangkok and the north.

Our time in Thailand took us from busy streets and local roads to quiet islands, jungle lakes and limestone cliffs. In the south, some of our favourite days were spent travelling by longtail boat, riding around Koh Yao Noi and waking early for the first light over Phang Nga Bay.
